When it comes to translation services, one of the major pitfalls that are often fallen into, is that of how to price services. There is no perfect way to do this but here are some tips for you to follow.
1. You could use the by word rate That is, cents per word. This is the most popular way.
2. You could base your rates on such things as complexity of document, length of document, and type of document. Be careful to remember that when translating from one language to another, the number of words in one language may not be equal to the number of words in another language.
3. Always do your best to avoid recalculating. That is, once you give a quote, do not go back and recalculate. Customers do not like this.
