Language Translation - Transforming Your Website Business

Language Translation - Transforming Your Website Business
By Donna J. Jodhan

When it comes to deciding as to whether or not to have your website translated in to multiple languages, the decision should be a simple one and one that is made with logic.  Here are a few basic pointers from me.

If your business is international then you should consider translating your website into English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
If your business is confined to just one country, then there is no need to have your website translated in to any other language except that of the country in which your business resides.
You do not need to have your website translated into a foreign language if you do not have foreign consumers.  However, if you are attempting to attract foreign consumers then you need to decide on which type of foreign consumer you want to attract and then choose the appropriate language.
Make sure that if you go ahead and decide to translate into any language, that the language is translated by someone whose mother tongue is that language.

I have a great reference for you to check out.  Please see below.

There is no need to carry out language translation for your website into Mandarin Chinese even if that is the most popular market with the highest number of speakers in the world right now. ... However, if your business is international by nature, your attention will certainly be focused on Mandarin Chinese, English and Spanish. Mandarin Chinese is still by far the most spoken language in the world and has the fastest growing consumer buying capability. ...
