Small Business Idea – How to Start a Translation Service Business ...

If you are seeking a bit of a small business idea to start a translation service, then I'd like to help you get started.  Here are some real facts for you to build upon.
First, Spanish is the second most spoken language in the United States with over 12% of Americans saying that Spanish is their first language.
Second, there are over 200 languages being spoken in America today.
Third, some of the other more popular languages being spoken in America include French, German, and Chinese.
 
If you decide to follow your dream to set up a small business translation service, then you would do good to concentrate on just a handful of languages.  Do not try to be everything to everyone so to speak.  In addition, you need to employ translators who can translate from a second language to their mother tongue and not the other way around.  Example:  If their second language is French and their mother tongue is English, then it is best to have them translate from French to English and not the other way around.
