Medical Translation Blog: Massive new Chinese-English technical ...

Top of the day to you out there!  I'm Donna J. Jodhan.
Today, I would like to talk a bit about the need to pay more attention to translations from Chinese to English when it comes to medical terms.
We need translators in a hurry!

Medical Translation Blog: Massive new Chinese-English technical ...

There is a very fast-growing demand and need for translators these days and it lies in the area of the translation of practically millions of Chinese medical terms.  As the gap between Eastern and Western medicine continues to lessen, we are going to see a ballooning demand for translators.  They would be needed to translate from Chinese to English and visa versa and in addition, there is going to be a demand for specialized medical translators.

Pharmaceutical companies, health organizations, and researchers and scientists will be seeking the services of specialized medical translators.  The Chinese government in particular will be especially interested in these types of services and many Western governments will be starting to initiate projects to learn more about Chinese medicine and the products that they can use in order to help treat many various types of diseases.

There used to be a time not too long ago when many Western countries used to frown upon the virtues of Eastern medicine especially Chinese medicine but this is quickly evaporating and with the rapidly increasing trend of global cooperation, this can only augur well for anyone wishing to become specialized medical translators.  Great opportunities lie ahead for these types of translators and they should be investigated thoroughly and astutely.

I am going to close by giving you a reference to check out.
